virizion (-) justified - sacred sword, leaf blade, swords dance, quick guard, giga drain, magical leaf

it sure is hot out at jagged pass today, more so than usual. perhaps it's the lingering effects of groudon's appearance the other week, or perhaps it's just climate change.

regardless, matias is still keen to go on this run and perhaps encounter some challenges along the way.

The sounds of battle would catch MATIAS SILPH ears.

Or at least, training.

Calem had come out here, after learning it a good spot for Psychic types with Cillian Quinn, to both catch more pokemon and train the ones he had received.

He stood, still as a statue, back to the man, as his Starmie and Bronzong went at each other without his instruction.

The Bronzong pushed a sudden Psychic, catching the Starmie in the air and hurling it backwards. Right over Matias' head.

Oops.

the PROTECT that forms keeps him safe from not only the thrown starmie, but also the random FIRE PUNCH that comes out of nowhere.

a wild medicham pulls his attention away from the stranger for a moment as he steps back, creating enough distance to allow virizion to swoop in to meet its FORCE PALM with her LEAF BLADE that easily overpowers.

the medicham falters backward, not able to recover in time for the other LEAF BLADE to follow through.

a pokeball ends that battle.

While MATIAS SILPH has his battle, Calem has his own.

His is ended just as swiftly, the angry Swoobat taken down with force by the Bronzong. Calem tosses a pokeball at it. It may be useful.

"It's quite alright, company is nice." Calem's smile is pleasant, pleased, as he makes his way towards where Matias is. He pauses to nod, going to see where his Starmie is wedged in the dirt, sticking up like ninja star. He sighs and returns it to it's pokeball.

"I do apologize. I wasn't paying attention and almost took your head off!"

Calem watches the display with the Bruxish with some interest. He had no idea what in the hell that green, high-booted pokemon was or how a fish got out of water on a volcano. Hoenn was fucked.

"Calem." He takes the accepted hand. Calem holds it exactly one second longer than is usually socially acceptable, because I think it's funny.

"Matias... you wouldn't happen to the be the Elite Four member, would you?" I'm pretty sure that's public knowledge. Just ignore this if it isn't.

the handshake's a little too long for his liking, so much so that his hand has to slide into his pocket after to find comfort.

oh, look! an exeggcute. how cute.

out of his pocket comes a small berry that's rolled over toward them. he rolls it a little too light so it falls short before virizion comes in to send it the rest of the way with a nudge.

the exeggcute gobbles it up, and soon, a pokeball follows, capturing the unsuspecting exeggcute.
